Welcome to Riggpixxx.com

Riggpixxx is based in Melbourne Australia. Founded in 1999, one would think that it is relatively new to the Truck scene, this isn't the case.
I have been involved in the trucking industry my whole life, following in my fathers footsteps. At 8 yo I used to go to the depot on weekends with my father and drive around on the fork lift whilst my father was loading the Interstate trucks. On my 18th birthday, I got my car licence.
2 weeks later went for my Semi Trailer licence through my fathers work and passed with flying colours.

I started my driving career doing local pick up's & deliveries around the Melbourne area in a International T-Line powered by a 350 Cummins. At 22 started working for Joe Cahill's who run a small local - Interstate fleet. On the 19th May 1990, my 23rd birthday, Danny Cahill approached  me and asked if I would be able to deliver a load to Sydney as the driver had fallen sick and the load had to be there in the morning. I  jumped at the chance, not knowing that I had been thrown in head first.
A change of clothes in hand, I was off for the first time "North bound on the Hume"  I travelled all the way with another driver who I had just met, the first time was so much fun, that was untill I was caught up in Sydneys notorious Peak Hour traffic. I was asked where I was unloading and looked at the paperwork, "Dock 5 Darling Harbour" The oher driver had a Horrified  look, Slapped me on the back & said "good luck buddy". I  bought a Street directory had a quick look, then another quick look, scratched my head & thought, It dosent look so hard !!!  Little did I know.

3 months before my 33rd birthday, 10 years later, I gave up driving Interstate, I had had enough of the changes, the so called friends, the police, the speed cameras, the Divided Hwy, the cock heads otherwise known as "Professional Drivers" The fun just wasnt there anymore so a change was in order.

"It's funny, when I got out of the truck for the last time, I could'nt remember the bad times, only the good one's" & there was so many. "I had met some of the funniest, wierdest, rudest, kindest characters in Australia"

What to do now?

l was well known for having a camera close by, taking a roll of film a week for processing was an expensive exercise, "There had to be a better way"
Introducing "Digital",   word had got around that l had bought a new camera & it was the bee's knee's, "You can see the picture straight away".  Word of mouth is still the best advertisement and before I knew what I had stumbled accross, treated it as a hobby. The cost of a computer, printer, paper & ink was getting expensive, so I started charging a small fee to cover the costs.

A friend of mine, Frank Amoroso,  owned a Supertruck Racing team "Fate Racing" & was racing at Winton on the weekend and asked if I was interisted in coming along to take some pictures for him?. "COOL"
That was in 2000.
I now work full time for Frank Amoroso (FATE EXPRESS)  and when time allows, still go
Truck Racing.
